Position: Sacramento Clubhouse Chef Assistant Reports To: Director of Performance Nutrition Department: Medical Status : Part Time Hourly Location: Sacramento CA Position Summary: The Sacramento Clubhouse Chef Assistant is responsible for assisting the Sacramento Chef in providing industry leading culinary services to the San Francisco Giants AAA affiliate, Sacramento RiverCats. They will serve as a day-to-day assistant during homestands for the Sacramento Chef with a wide range of functions. Position Responsibilities: •Assist Chef with food prep including but not limited to: o Slicing/dicing fruits and vegetables, potatoes, and other starches o Protein manipulation, and seasoning •Preparation, maintenance, and cleaning of cooking equipment such as ovens, stoves, smoker grill, induction burners and crock pots. •Dishwashing by hand of cooking equipment like pots, pans, trays, cutlery etc. •Proper cleaning and sanitization of both food and working equipment and surfaces. •Receiving orders and stocking •Tracking inventory •Organizing and storing of food inventory Education/Knowledge and Skills: Professional attitude and work ethic Following orders promptly and efficiently Ability to work in a face pace environment Being able to spend hours on your feet Knowledge of food service quality and safety practices for state and federal. Excellent communication skills. Self-motivator, optimistic, driven and eager to develop, ability to take and implement constructive feedback. •Hours include nights, weekends, and some holidays At the San Francisco Giants, we carefully consider a wide range of factors when determining compensation, including your background and experience.
