The Prospective Group (TPG) is Hiring an A/ISSO/Security Business Analyst Near Lorton, VA
Active DOD security clearance required.
The Prospective Group (TPG) is searching for a A/ISSO/Security Business Analyst to support our contract at the Department of State. This position will work directly with an ISSO to ensure all products under the organization are secure and compliant.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Experience with technical writing and technical system diagrams and documentation.
- Operational support for information security tool alerts, triaging, and maintenance.
- Assess security controls and evaluate the security posture of organizational internal controls in pursuit of and compliance with a system Authority to Operate.
- Use technical feedback to address Authority to Operate questions within the Department’s Governance, Risk, and Compliance tool (Archangel).
- Liaise between developers and the security team to provide security updates and needed technical information.
- Develop Security Impact Analysis documents.
- Develop Firewall Access Board packages.
- Track approved system documentation in a centralized location.
- Experience with the overall ATO process and requirements.
- Maintain confidentiality on all sensitive security matters.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in IT Security or related field or equivalent experience.
- Knowledge of and ability to research Federal security requirements and guidance (FIPS, NIST, DISA STIGS).
- Knowledge of information security concepts.
- General information technology and computer networking knowledge.
- Excellent time management and communication skills.
- Strong ability to research technical challenges and learn quickly to provide security guidance.
- Ability to conduct research and analyze results.
- Work directly with customers to research, troubleshoot, and resolve security and business process issues in a timely manner.
- Participate in project / agile planning sessions with project managers, business analysts and technical team members to analyze business requirements and identify security impacts.
- Demonstrated ability of analytical expertise, close attention to detail, critical thinking, logic, and solution oriented.
