The Prospective Group (TPG) is Hiring an Acquisition Specialist Near Quantico, VA

Clearance: Requires a security clearance.
The Prospective Group (TPG) is seeking an Acquisition Specialist to support the Department of Defense (DoD), Defense Counterintelligence Services Agency (DCSA), National Background Investigation Services (NBIS) in managing and facilitating the acquisition process for software licenses and services, as directed by the Government. Responsibilities include the preparation of pre-procurement packages, maintaining and updating records on SharePoint, and participating in weekly and monthly meetings and reports.
Responsibilities:
  • Draft and prepare pre-procurement packages adhering to the OCIO governance process, including procurement packages for software license renewals and new purchases.
  • Regularly update the SharePoint Tracker with the status of ongoing software actions in the “Software Actions” tab on the NBIS Contracts Tracker.
  • Participate in weekly budget analyst meetings to provide status updates and discuss challenges.
  • Attend Software Sync weekly meetings to provide updates on software packages.
  • Contribute to the monthly accomplishment report, documenting achievements and progress in software and services acquisition activities.
Position Requirements:
  • Knowledge of Software Acquisitions and familiarity with the process and best practices of acquiring software, including licensing agreements and Government Wide Acquisition Contracts (GWACs).
  • Proficient knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS).
  • Ability to draft clear and comprehensive acquisition documentation such as Statements of Work (SOWs), Market Research Reports, and procurement packages.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex procurement processes and statuses.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, law, or a related field.
  • Relevant experience in government procurement may be considered in lieu of education.
