POSTION RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Purchases materials, equipment, and supplies to maintain operations at a production facility.
• Locates, qualifies, and establishes a network of vendors to supply materials and services.
• Coordinates with manufacturing and maintenance departments to establish lead times for stock in accordance with the production schedule.
• Sets minimum and maximum order quantities and monitors the inventory level of repair parts.
• Maintains and analyzes inventory records and identifies trends in demand.
• Prepares bid requests and reviews supply quotations.
• Negotiates with MRO suppliers to obtain cost reductions to services and supplies.
• Participate in procurement activities on New Product Introduction Projects, Site Transfer Projects and Other Special Projects as assigned.
• Manages service agreements with MRO vendors and contractors.
• Collaborates with vendors to schedule and arrange the delivery of supplies.
• Communicates item availability, order changes, and delays to internal departments.
• Drafts and sends purchase orders to vendors and approves invoices for payment

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

• 5 -7 years’ experience in purchasing
• High School Diploma (required)
• Bachelors’ degree in business or related (required)
• CPM or CSCP certification (desired)
• Chemical industry background (desired)
• SAP Purchasing experience (desired)
