Accounts Payable Specialist

Position Overview

The Account Payable Specialist will serve as a key member of the Accounting team as well as the organization. The Accounts Payable Specialist will contribute to the continuous improvement of the department and will communicate problems or concerns regarding the Accounting Department to the Controller.

General Responsibilities

• Processing a large quantity and variety of payables including invoices, rent, employee expense reports, and physician payments
• Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and ensure invoices are coded to correct cost center as well as general ledger account
• Receive proper approval of all payments and process payments weekly via check & ACH methods
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required
• Associates Degree in Accounting preferred
• 3 years of Accounts Payable experience preferred
• Must be detailed orientated with strong organizational skills
• Must have excellent communication and customer service skills
• Windows-based computer experience required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 80 per week
