Description

Summary

The Business Development Representative (BDR) is responsible for finding and screening potential customers who could benefit from Prisma Graphic’s print, mail, marketing logistics and fulfillment services. As the first line of communication with a prospect, the ideal BDR has a strong understanding of the sales process and excels at researching leads, starting new relationships, and setting up sales closers for success. The individual must have comprehensive knowledge of and sell all offered services of Prisma including printing, mail, large format, ad promotion, Prisma Technologies, and other capabilities added. They must be excellent communicators and be comfortable selling with a team.

Key Responsibilities

  • The Business Development Representative is responsible for making contact with potential customers through outbound cold calls, email, and in-person networking.
  • Making initial client contact and building trust and relationships.
  • Foster customer interest in learning more about the company’s products or services.
  • Identifying customer needs and communicating how Prisma can provide solutions to those needs.
  • Proactively seek new business opportunities in the market.
  • Act as a liaison between our Marketing and Sales teams.
  • Schedule appointments between (prospective) customers and Account Executives and effectively transition prospective account ownership.
  • Actively participate in initial discovery call and demo process.
  • Attend in-person networking events and conferences to build relationships and identify prospective customers.
  • Accurately report internal administration: Hubspot CRM activity log, sales pipeline forecasting, weekly reports to management and proposal planning.
  • Meet and exceed sales KPI metrics for emails, calls, and qualified meetings.
  • Identify best practices for refining the company’s lead-generation playbook.

  • Possesses an extensive understanding of Prisma’s offerings and value proposition.
  • Effective communications – written and verbal.
  • Able to work in a team setting and lead when necessary.
  • Ability to listen and identify creative solutions.
  • Proficient in all Microsoft applications including Outlook, Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
  • Performs all duties with a high degree of skill and minimal supervision.
  • Performs other duties and assumes other responsibilities as apparent or assigned.
  • Strong desire and ability to move up within a sales organization.

Career Path

Business Development Representative’s (BDR) will complete an initial three-month training and introductory boot-camp designed to provide a core knowledge foundation of the printing and graphic arts industry. During this introductory period, the BDR will begin to familiarize themselves with Prisma’s sales structure, value proposition and go to market strategies, processes and the resources available. After successfully completing boot-camp the BDR will assume their full duties and responsibilities. The BDR will have opportunities for advancement as they achieve specified goals and metrics. The typical career path would be BDR to Account Executive.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) or at least five years of relevant work experience, preferably in a business-to-business sales and/or account management role.
  • The employee is required to have a driver’s license.
  • Occasional travel to client sites/events/conferences (travel up to 50%).
  • The employee is required to have a comprehensive understanding of business and marketing.
  • Reports to the Director of Business Development.
  • Monday – Friday, 8:30AM to 5:00PM, on-site position based in our Nashville, TN facility.
