Job Summary:
We are a growing family-owned business seeking a skilled Human Resources Manager to oversee all aspects of HR practices and processes. The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable in HR functions, including payroll, recruitment, employee relations, and compliance.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy of Executives, Managers, and Directors
- Manage the recruitment and selection process
- Develop and monitor overall HR strategies, systems, tactics, and procedures across all organizations
- Nurture a positive working environment
- Address employee questions, grievances, and other issues
- Complete and maintain personnel files for each employee
- Ensure that all new hire paperwork, State and Federal forms, and benefit forms are completed properly, sent in for processing, and filed appropriately.
- Update, explain and provide job descriptions
- Maintain employee directory and keep updated records for compliance with company needs
- Review unemployment claims and submit appeals, as necessary
- Verify crew timecards daily, manage payroll entries, and process payroll for multiple companies
Skills:
- Ability to process payroll with accuracy and precision
- Ability to conduct employee orientation sessions and explain benefit packages
- In-depth knowledge of employment labor law and organizational design
- Ability to handle a fast paced, ever-changing environment
