Job Description

• Managing uptime of a fleet of approximately 15 data collection vehicles Utilize your experience in preventative maintenance planning and fleet tracking systems to ensure optimal fleet performance.
• Managing the maintenance of our vehicle fleets to ensure they remain in full operational condition, maximizing uptime levels. Ensuring minimal out-of-service (OOS) percentage.
• Report directly to the Director of Operations, Products.
• Promptly respond to fleet downtime issues, mobilizing necessary resources from within or outside the company.
• Create and track cases (trouble tickets) for each incident using Jira issue tracking software.
• Conduct daily morning meetings to review progress on open cases and determine next steps.
• Maintain regular communication with field crews, fleet support staff, production staff, and development staff to ensure awareness of issues and resolution plans.
• Establish positive relationships with dealership and repair shop managers to expedite repairs.
• Track and report fleet uptime/downtime metrics weekly to management.
• Document root causes of deficiencies or failures and track failures by system and root cause for every vehicle in the fleet.
• Propose improvements to ICC equipment, systems, maintenance methods, and preventative repairs based on common downtime reasons.
• Review and provide feedback on equipment layouts to ensure robustness, ease of maintenance, and cost-efficiency.
• Travel occasionally (up to 10%) for field meetings with crew members and major maintenance issues requiring management presence.

Qualifications

• Technical diploma or Bachelor’s degree in the mechanical or electrical field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 15 years of progressive fleet maintenance and management experience.
• Proven problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Self-starter with the ability to motivate and organize others.
• Attention to detail and a positive "get it done" attitude.
• Excellent computer skills with Microsoft Windows, including file management, folder organization, etc.
• Experience with maintaining Ford Transits, F150, F250, F350, Dodge Promaster, and Chevy platforms preferred.
• Metalwork fabrication and assembly experience preferred.
• Experience with vehicle-mounted subsystems preferred, including utilizing manufacturer mounting points.
• Free-hand sketching ability for quick idea drafting preferred.
