PMCO is hiring for a Designer/Drafter in Springfield, MO.

Summary

The Designer/Drafter performs design tasks, primarily for major projects or multiple minor projects concurrently, under the general direction of their immediate supervisor.

Salary: $60-$70k

Full Benefits Package

M-F 8AM-5PM

Essential Job Functions

  • Translate project information (e.g., specifications, sales order details, data sheets) into drawings and documentation for manufacturing purposes.
  • Identify deviations in project scope, estimate changes' magnitude, and communicate them to relevant parties.
  • Maintain design continuity throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure effective communication within the engineering team and with other design and engineering disciplines.
  • Execute quality control procedures to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Competencies

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Inventor software.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Ability to work on multiple tasks with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of engineering principles and techniques.
  • Familiarity with various fabrication methods and installation procedures.
  • Broad understanding of materials, including their characteristics, tolerances, and limitations.
  • General comprehension of mechanical systems' operation.

Education and Experience

  • Preferably holds a two-year college degree in design, drafting, or a related field.
  • Alternatively, a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in the absence of a degree.
