Under the direction of the Contract Administrator in the Office of Opioid Response and Policy (ORP), provide fiscal support for the office’s state and federal grants. The prospective candidate will implement fiscal accounting principles that support the office’s planning, operations, implementation, monitoring and/or evaluation of public health programs. Also, supports and participates in ORP and overall Departmental programs and initiatives.
This position may be eligible to participate in the Department's pilot telework program, which offers eligible employees the opportunity to work remotely for up to two (2) days per week, as approved by management.
REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION: Graduate from an accredited college with a Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Public Administration and/or Public Health Management or other related discipline.
EXPERIENCE: One (1) year of experience in the coordination of grant funding and fiscal administration in a public or private organization including experience in the operation and procedures normally associated with federally funded grants and public health projects. NOTE: Applicants who do not possess the required education may substitute experience as indicated on a year-for-year basis.
NOTE: A Master's degree is a plus in the aforementioned fields of study.
