ASRC Federal is Hiring a Cook I Near Honolulu, HI
This role will support the Installation Support Services (ISS2) contract support on Wake Island.
This position will require that the employee work on site at Wake Island. Transportation from Honolulu, Hawaii to Wake Island will be furnished by government sponsored aircraft. Meals and housing will be provided by the program while working on the island. Employees will live in a dormitory housing environment and meals will be furnished daily through the cafeteria commissary. This role is perfect for someone who is able to remain away for long periods of time while working on island with occasional scheduled trips back to Honolulu.
Key Role:
In a cafeteria environment prepare all meals in accordance with preplanned menus within established budgets and in compliance with government and management directives. Prepare and cook the quantity of food required according to the menu and the number of customers.
- Assists in preparing and serving appetizing, appealing meals using safe and hygienic methods for employees and as directed for special functions and visitors
- Ensures that the work area is safe, clean and sanitary at all times..
- Assist in cleaning kitchen work areas and the cafeteria after each meal.
- Unload food and supplies from delivery trucks.
- Ensure compliance with USDA and all pertaining standards, policies, and regulations.
- Maintains accountability of customers and property; adhere to safety practices.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
