Banquet Manager Qualifications/Responsibilities
- 3 years as a Banquet Manager or similar role in a high-volume (8M ), multi-outlet events/catering venue
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing circumstances
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Strong knowledge of food and beverage operations and event logistics
- Lead and inspire a high-performing catering and events operations and sales team - coach, mentor, train, and support
- Build and nurture relationships with team members and clients
- Develop detailed event plans, including timelines, floor plans, and staffing requirements.
- Coordinate with various departments to ensure all elements of the event are executed flawlessly.
- Supervise and lead banquet staff, providing guidance and support to ensure exceptional service.
- Manage event budgets and resources effectively to maximize profitability.
- Address client inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
- Conduct pre- and post-event meetings with staff to review details and gather feedback.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and venue policies.
