Boyd-Buchanan School is Hiring a Human Resources Coordinator Near Chattanooga, TN

Overview: Boyd-Buchanan School is seeking a dedicated and experienced Part-
Time Human Resources Coordinator to join our team. As a private Christian school, we are
committed to providing a nurturing environment that fosters academic excellence and
spiritual growth. The Human Resources Coordinator supports our mission by
implementing effective human resource management practices and policies.

Responsibilities

1. Recruitment and Onboarding:

  • Coordinate the recruitment process for faculty and staff positions,

including drafting job postings, screening resumes, scheduling interviews,
and conducting reference checks.

  • Assist in the development and maintenance of job descriptions.
  • Facilitate the onboarding process for new hires, including orientation

sessions and completing necessary paperwork.

2. Employee Relations:

  • Serve as a point of contact for employees regarding HR-related inquiries

and concerns.

  • Assists in resolving employee relations issues, and ensuring school policy

and procedure adherence.

  • Maintain employee files and ensure compliance with all applicable

regulations.

3. Benefits Administration:

  • Support the administration of employee benefits programs, including

health insurance, retirement plans, and other fringe benefits.

  • Assist employees with benefits enrollment, changes, and inquiries.
  • Coordinate with benefit providers and ensure timely communication

regarding updates and changes.

4. Training and Development:

  • Coordinate human resource-related training and professional development

programs for faculty and staff.

  • Identify training needs and collaborate with department heads to develop

relevant training initiatives.

  • Maintain records of training activities and attendance.
  • Manage employee reviews by ensuring supervisor feedback occurs

annually.

5. Policy Development and Compliance:

  • Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and

procedures.

  • Stay informed about relevant employment laws and regulations and

ensure compliance.

  • Conduct periodic audits to ensure adherence to policies and procedures.

6. Other Duties:

  • Support HR projects and initiatives as assigned.
  • Assist with other administrative tasks as needed.
  • Collaborate with other administrative roles as needed.

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree in human resources, education administration, or a related

field is preferred.

  • Previous experience in human resources in an educational setting or related

fields preferred.

  • Knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with

discretion.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and necessary software.

Schedule:

  • Part-time position, ~25 hours per week (flexible schedule negotiable).

Salary:

  • $35,000-$45,000
  • Based on experience
