The Long Island FQHC, Inc. (Long Island Federally Qualified Health Center or LIFQHC) is a non-profit healthcare organization with 7 health centers, providing primary care and preventative medicine in the following locations in Nassau County: Roosevelt, Elmont, Hempstead, Freeport, Oceanside, and New Cassel/Westbury. In addition, the LIFQHC has 3 school-based health centers, WIC offices (Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children) in 3 locations, and a Health Home Care Coordination program. JOB TITLE: Human Resources Assistant
REPORTS TO: HR Manager
The following statements reflect the general duties, responsibilities, and competencies considered necessary to perform the essential functions of the job and should not be considered as a detailed description of all the work requirements of this position.
JOB SUMMARY: Provides administrative support to the Human Resources Department. Acts as a receptionist. Sources and screens qualified healthcare professionals to meet the organizations business needs. Schedules meetings and interviews as requested; Establishes and maintains accurate and accessible office filing system, tracks required documents. General requirements: Resume review, Scheduling, Telephone Skills, Typing, Documentation Skills, Meeting Planning, Verbal Communication, Written Communication, Dependability, Attention to Detail, Administrative Writing Skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Matches and evaluates candidate skills to open positions through screening and interviewing
· Manages recruiting process by posting positions, reviewing resumes and screening candidates, maintaining relationships with candidate referral sources, following up on open positions,
· Utilizes various recruitment tools and methods to source and attract a pool of qualified and diverse candidates
· Maintains the Learning Management System
· Input information into HRIS system.
· Assists with various research projects and/or special projects.
· Updates various HR spreadsheets.
· Maintain Confidentiality of files and incidents.
· Schedules interviews and follows up as necessary.
· Makes photocopies, faxes documents and performs other clerical functions.
· Files papers and documents into appropriate employee files.
· Performs other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
· High school diploma or equivalent, required. Associates Degree or higher, preferred
· One year of experience working in an office environment
· Recruitment experience preferred
SALARY: Commensurate with experience
