Job Description
Provides administrative support to ensure the effective operations of the office. Researches, develops and organizes background materials and supports key areas of the University's finance function including general ledger activity and the fixed asset sub-ledger. Handles highly sensitive information with confidentiality and tact. Performs all duties in full support of the University's mission, understanding that the positive and effective execution of these duties are instrumental to the education of the University's students.

Description of Key Responsibility: Coordinates and administers the University journal entry process. Works with Information Technology Services ( ITS ) and other departments to ensure all journal entries are reviewed, processed and posted in a timely and accurate manner. Utilizes technology to update and advance the journal entry process.
Description of Key Responsibility: Updates and maintains the fixed asset sub-ledger for capital asset additions, disposals and/or transfers. Prepares quarterly reconciliation of the fixed asset sub-ledger to the general ledger. Assists in Universitys fixed asset inventory process.
Description of Key Responsibility: Provides administrative assistance with various accounts payable activities, including but not limited to processing and uploading weekly P-Card journal entries, and auditing of P-Card Travel and Expense *
Description of Key Responsibility: Manages student and intern employment for Financial Accounting Services including, but not limited to hiring, scheduling, training and daily supervision of approximately 5-6 students each semester. Works in conjunction with Financial Accounting staff to develop and manage an effective intern program.
Description of Key Responsibility: Provides top quality customer service to both internal and external visitors to the department. Fields, screens and provides assistance to callers and responds to departmental email. Provides assistance in the administration of the Financial Accounting Services Office including filing, sorting and distributing mail, as well as scanning and indexing source documents to digital images.
Description of Key Responsibility: Maintains departmental website, calendar and e-mail to ensure timely and accurate updates and processing of information. Maintains departmental financial and budgetary records related to payroll and operating expenditures. Prepares a variety of budget analyses and reports for review.
Description of Key Responsibility: Prepares monthly, quarterly and annual reconciliation of certain general ledger accounts.
Description of Key Responsibility: Performs other related duties as assigned.

Associates Degree or Two Year University equivalent required.
