Job Description
Manages all aspects of event and programming oversight, space scheduling oversight, logistical coordination, reservations for Gengras Student Union, Konover Campus Center and University Commons. Supervises, schedules and manages payroll for operations team, food pantry workers, and info desk staff. Creates and promotes a collaborative service-oriented environment for students, faculty, staff and guests. Coordinates all events for external clients in Student Centers. Performs all duties in full support of the University's brand, understanding that the positive and effective of these duties are instrumental to the University of Hartford's core business -the education of students.

Description of Key Responsibility: Manages building and event operations. Interacts regularly with department heads, faculty, staff, and administrators to ensure a quality service experience. Develops short- and long-range strategies for event and program management based on best practices. Establishes, cultivates and maintains effective working relationships with internal and external constituencies, collaborating with department staff to coordinate planning and production needs of events.
Description of Key Responsibility: Manages the space reservations schedule for meetings, special events and conferences using the UHart Hub (Modern Campus Involve Platform) and 25Live systems. Reviews and/or approves use request of other campus spaces for student organizations and campus offices and departments. Works closely with internal constituents regarding space needs for events and programs. Collaborates with University constituents (students, faculty, and staff) to determine their needs and goals. Analyses data from 25Live and other reporting software and develops timely reports for the Division of Student Success leadership team. Partners with the Director to identify and implement evidence-based suggestions for improvement.
Description of Key Responsibility: Recruits, hires, trains, supervises and evaluates student staff. Oversees scheduling and payroll for graduate and undergraduate student employees. Generates and distributes daily reports of scheduled building activity and resource needs including, but not limited to, room setups, technology support, catering, housekeeping/maintenance and security. Continually evaluates building procedures and operations and makes recommendations to senior Division of Student Success Administrators.
Description of Key Responsibility: Assists and partners in the coordination of large-scale University events, including logistical details for meetings and conferences, fairs, room reservations, catering, equipment rentals, parking and other related details as necessary and appropriate. Partners with internal constituents such as the Office of Admission, Office of Marketing and Communication, Institutional Advancement, and Athletics on all matters related to University events in student centers spaces.
Description of Key Responsibility: Performs other related duties as assigned. Serves on internal and external committees and during special events as necessary and/or appropriate.
Formal Education:
Bachelors Degree required.
