Job Title: Accounting Manager - GL

Reports to: Chief Financial Officer

FLSA Status: Exempt

Position Summary

The Accounting Manager - GL will be responsible for oversight of the company’s accounting functions, financial reporting, taxes, and compliance. This position will supervise the accounting personnel and report directly to the CFO.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

• Oversee the filing of the Company’s required tax, census, internal financial statements and investor performance reports
• Ensure financial statements are consistent with generally accepted accounting practices
• Manage outsourced accounting processes including, outsource provider contracts, SLA’s, KPI’s and internal compliance with reverse SLA’s
• Coordinate and support audits and reviews by external auditors
• Research accounting literature and apply technical accounting standards to complex business issues and transactions; prepare memos to support positions taken for management and review with external audit
• Manage the Company’s compliance efforts, including maintenance of the Company’s control documentation, act as the key liaison with outsourced accounting compliance personnel
• Lead all accounting related implications for any merger, acquisition, property divestiture or development projects.
• Coordinate and assist 3rd party accounting firm with all tax filing
• Ensure reporting practices are in compliance with investor agreements, partnership agreements and management contracts. 
• Responsible to ensure systems and processes are in place to deliver accurate, timely and relevant monthly and quarterly financial reporting process
• Special projects and duties as required and assigned by Provision Living owners

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position will supervise the accounting personnel.

Education

• BS in accounting or finance with CPA designation (Masters preferred) 

Requirements

Skills/Experience

• Public accounting experience highly preferred
• Minimum of 4 years accounting / finance experience
• Experience managing third party service providers preferred
• Extensive knowledge financial reporting and compliance requirements
• Strong systems, planning, organization and communication skills
• Ability to meet the demanding deadlines 
• Ability to clearly and concisely document and explain technical accounting and reporting matters
