Are you a strong controller with an operational/plant manufacturing background? Are you looking to oversee the financials for multiple operating plants for a growing international manufacturing company?

We’re recruiting for a Multi-Site Controller/Operational Controller role with a growing manufacturing company based in the St. Louis, MO area. You will be responsible for directing and overseeing the operational finance activities including financial plans and policies, accounting practices and reporting, cost accounting, financial forecasting and analysis and due diligence activities. You will be responsible for the financials for 4-5 manufacturing plants and some travel to those plants (approximately one week per month, some two weeks per month; on an as needed basis, approximately 20% of the time). This position can be based in St. Louis, Missouri, Stafford, TX (Houston, TX area), West Virginia and Virginia areas.

What You'll Do:

• Manage the monthly financial close process from pre-close activities to financial statement issuance ensuring compliance with prescribed closing and reporting schedules while maintaining a high level of accuracy and compliance with US GAAP.
• Prepare the annual financial budget and monthly and quarterly forecasts.
• Provides in-depth analysis on variances to plan, forecast, and prior year.
• Drive Net Working Capital initiatives to optimize inventory, accounts receivable and accounts payable positions.
• Performance of reconciliations and analytical reviews of operating results to ensure accurate, timely and relevant financial reporting for corporate departments.
• Implement, document and maintain adequate and effective internal controls
• Provide effective and timely financial information, business insights/analytics and business performance evaluations.
• Provide leadership and direction to the operational business partners.
• Participates in product costing functions to include operational routings, efficiencies, and overhead allocations.
• Identify, recommend and implement strategic opportunities to improve operating performance
• Manages capital spending by preparing short and long-term capital expenditure
• Contributes to team effort by mentoring and guiding plant management in achieving business results

To Be Successful, It'll Help If You Have:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and/or Finance
• Ten or more years of progressive accounting and finance experience
• Two or more years of Manufacturing and Cost Accounting Experience is Required ERP system experience and strong Excel skills
• Strong leadership and mentorship skills
