TECHNICAL SALES MANAGER
SOUTHFIELD, MICHIGAN - WORLD HEADQUARTERS

As a member of the Technical Sales team, the NA Technical Sales Manager will be responsible for

  • Setting up solid relationship with key customers in Engineering and Purchasing Groups
  • Looking for future business opportunities based on Lears Product Portfolio
  • Early Engagement/Advanced Projects with target customers in NA
  • Supporting Tech Shows, Technical Presentations at OEMs
  • Contributing to the development of Product Roadmaps and Customer Strategies

The Role:

Your work will include, but not be limited to:

  • Customer Meetings to marketing Lears product portfolio and discuss potential future opportunities
  • Early engagement with customers on new architecture ideas, timing
  • Support ad-hoc Product Management activities (product roadmap definition, tracking of opportunities, ...)
  • Build Lear internal relationship with key global engineering and commercial team members

The Hour by Hour Task Breakdown with percentages:

  • Meeting with peers and customer to brainstorm and create requirements from scratch (30%)
  • Complete Training on Lears Product Portfolio (10%)
  • Development of Customer Strategy based on Lear Product Portfolio (30%)
  • Create Value Propositions for Lears Product Portfolio (20%)

Your Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree preferably in a technical discipline
  • At least 5 years experience as a Technical Sales Engineer or Electronics Engineer in the NA automotive industry
  • Excellent relationship to key stakeholder at major NA OEMs - Purchasing and/or Engineering
  • Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Team player

Bonus If You Have:

  • Technical skills in Power Distribution (Low Voltage and High Voltage), Zonal Architectures and/or Battery Disconnect Units
