Confidential is Hiring a Logistics Coordinator Near Sandusky, OH
P&D Coordinator is responsible for taking care of an assigned local driver pool; using an open and interactive leadership style to reconcile customer and driver needs. Position will need to meet company performance goals, including meeting customer service pick-up and delivery requirements, achieving equipment performance standards, optimizing routes, maintaining an excellent safety record and retaining safe drivers who provide excellent customer service.

- Lead and retain a designated fleet of drivers following company guidelines
- Work with our Safety and Compliance Departments to promote positive driver relations, safe operations of equipment and the reduction of driver turnover.
- Ensure a cooperative environment with consistent communication and flow of information concerning delivery related issues.
- Responsible for the contribution to an efficient and effective operation of a fast-paced team.
- Maintain a calm and professional demeanor when dealing with upset drivers, team members, etc.
- Ensure fair and consistent application of and adherence to company policies
- Ability to understand and apply the Hours of Service regulations
- Must be organized with exceptional time management skills with ability to successfully complete tasks
- An intermediate level of understanding of the United States geography
- An excellent level of understanding of the Ohio geography, with ability to cost effectively place and utilize equipment to successfully complete multiple pick ups and deliveries without any additional outside assistance
- Ability to follow up with your fleet on the weekends
- Ability to respond on weekend questions if any
Required education and experience
- Weight & Management Scale, Cargo Security and Securement Loading experience
- previous relevant experience in the logistics related position a must
- Class A CDL is a plus and preferred
- Preference will be given to extremely detail oriented individuals
