Full Time Registered Nurse (RN)

We are looking for a talented and passionate part-time Nurse to join our team in Atlanta, GA to help us continue to make a difference in the lives of our clients’ employee populations.
In this role, the Nurse will be able to directly access patients at the worksite to provide better access to care and enhanced visibility to the onsite nursing program. This position works in conjunction with the lead RN. Job specific training will be provided prior to start as well as ongoing on the job.
The position will be onsite at a construction trailer, looking for an outgoing person who is willing to go around everyday for the majority of the day meeting and speaking with the construction workers as well as providing wellness services.
Responsibilities:
First Aid and Onsite Safety
  • Assess and render first aid to those with occupational injuries and illnesses with accurate documentation
  • Provide follow-up remedial nursing care to first aid cases
  • Keep first aid equipment and clinic supplies properly maintained, cleaned, and organized
  • Coordinate response to field emergencies with the onsite EMT (if applicable)
  • Prepare injury reports and maintain current and complete documentation
  • Work with the Site Safety Coordinator when recommending referrals to a primary care provider, clinic, or hospital for any cases that require more attention than first aid care
  • Assess employees returning to work after periods of absence due to injury or illness
  • Responsible for clinical care coordination between the employees’ workers comp provider, Human Resources, and their primary care provider
  • Identify hazards at the worksite and work with the appropriate onsite team to mitigate associated risks
  • Complete Mental Health First Aid certification during onboarding to effectively identify mental crisis situations for employees onsite
  • Promote safety awareness and injury prevention programs, and actively refer employees to existing and onsite health and safety resources
  • Conduct trainings for first aid and safety strategies
Screenings and Immunizations
  • Provide Blood Pressure readings and Biometric Screenings including weight, height, BMI, body fat percentage (using bioelectrical impedance)
  • Perform specimen collections in accordance with the drug and alcohol screening program (if applicable)
  • Provide Immunizations such as annual Influenza vaccines
Health Promotion
  • Facilitate and maintain high levels of engagement with client site contacts and their employees to proactively understand their initiatives, benefit resources, and needs
  • Proactively disseminate health and safety educational materials
  • Plan and implement health promotion programs such as weight management challenges, stretching initiatives, mindfulness and stress reduction activities
  • Lead and facilitate group engagement sessions such as stretch & flex programs, seminars, and presentations
  • Help employees to access educational resources and develop increased awareness to facilitate healthy lifestyle modifications for reduced health risk
Additional Responsibilities Include:
  • Work comfortably in outdoor environments and possess a willingness to perform job responsibilities in various weather conditions
  • Manage time effectively and work independently to deliver high quality onsite service
  • Participate in ongoing trainings and professional growth and development opportunities to enhance nursing and engagement skills
Background Requirements:
  • License/Certification: Registered Nurse (RN) and BLS or ACLS Certification
  • Knowledge and application of evidence-based practices in the fields of nursing, health and wellness, and injury prevention
  • Strong presentation skills and the ability to effectively communicate health and injury prevention information in small and large groups
  • Proven time management skills, and the ability to handle multiple tasks
  • Excellent verbal skills and interpersonal skills, with the ability to positively represent Ramp Health
  • Independent and organized with a friendly and personable demeanor
Nice to Have:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and experience with EMR/SOAP data entry is preferred
  • Venipuncture skills
  • Experience performing Respiratory FIT tests
