Key Account Manager
SUMMARY OF ROLE:
The Key Account Manager works to improve our organization’s market position and to achieve financial growth. This role defines long-term organizational strategic goals, builds key customer relationships, identifies business opportunities, negotiates and closes business deals and maintains knowledge of current market conditions.
Position will be located in Northern California.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
As an at-will employer, Scholle IPN reserves the right to add to or modify this list to the extent it deems necessary.
  • Will lead internal teams to increase sales opportunities with Key Accounts and new clients.
  • Strong negotiating skills to leverage deals with large, global companies.
  • Responsible for strategic planning when developing the pipeline of new business for the organization.
  • Identify potential clients and the decision makers within the customer’s organization.
  • Responsible for managing activities of others that are also responsible for developing business for Key Accounts.
  • Present to and consult with senior level management on business trends with a view to developing new services and products.
  • Track and record activity on accounts and help close deals to meet targets set forth by the organization.
  • Work with other departments to ensure alignment on strategic deployment goals set by senior level management.
  • Develop and set annual sales budget for existing and new business opportunities.
  • Provide senior management with monthly activity and progress reports.
  • Responsible for the overall management of all strategic and operational customer relationship activities.
  • Develops a thorough understanding of key customers needs and requirements and preparing customized solutions.
  • Prepares regular reports of progress and forecasts to internal and external stakeholders using key account metrics.
  • Responsible for P&L’s of assigned accounts and/or product line.
YOU BRING THESE SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:
  • EDUCATION:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance or related field.
  • SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
    • At least 10 years of related sales experience (Retail packaging industry or CPG experience preferred).
    • Background in the wine and spirits industry is a plus.
    • Experience working with senior management to align sales strategies and solutions.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, MS Teams).
    • An expert with Consultative selling techniques.
    • Understand and operate a CRM system (Salesforce preferred).
    • Excellent selling and negotiation skills.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with aptitude in building realtonships with professionals of al organizational levels.

Adherence to policies and procedures related to quality management, safety, SQF and other regulatory guidelines communicated during your new hire orientation and defined in your SIG (formerly Scholle IPN) handbook are mandatory.
