Astronics AeroSat Corporation is located Manchester, New Hampshire. We design and manufacture tail-mounted aircraft SATCOM systems to provide inflight internet and live TV connectivity for commercial and business aviation, VVIP, and military aircraft around the world.

Primary Function:

Identify, create, and capture new Satellite Communications business opportunities for Astronics AeroSat. This role is focused on driving the growth and expansion of the business across all market segments.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive market research to identify emerging trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape within the SATCOM industry.
  • Generate leads through strategic initiatives, networking, attending industry events, and leveraging digital marketing channels.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key clients, industry partners, and stakeholders. Act as the primary point of contact for client communications.
  • Work closely with internal teams to develop tailored proposals and solutions that align with client requirements. Present proposals effectively to potential clients.
  • Develop and implement strategic business plans to drive revenue growth, expand market share, and enhance the company's position in the SATCOM sector.
  • Engage in effective negotiations, address client concerns, and finalize agreements to meet business objectives. Close deals in accordance with organizational goals.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and technical departments, to ensure seamless execution of business development strategies.
  • Identify and assess opportunities for geographic and product/service expansion within the SATCOM industry. Develop and execute plans to enter new markets.
  • Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to business development activities. Provide regular reports on progress, success, and areas for improvement.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. MBA is a plus.
  • Proven experience (3 years) in business development within the SATCOM industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of SATCOM technologies, industry standards, and market dynamics.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Proven track record of successful client relationship management.
  • Ability to travel as needed for client meetings and industry events (~50%)
  • The ability to speak more than one language is not required but is highly desired.
  • This position may require knowledge of SOX / 404 internal audit controls and related documentation.

  • May be required to handle hazardous waste and follow proper safety procedure for storage and disposal.

Physical Demands:

  • While performing the duties of this job the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, use hands and or arms to pull handles and push buttons and reach objects. Requirements may also include climbing, balancing, stooping, bending, reaching, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
