The Senior HR Manager leads their department in developing and implementing the HR agenda to support The Company’s growth and goals. They perform a variety of complex HR duties professionally, partnering closely with other members across the organization in administering HR programs, processes, standards, and strategic HR goals. The Senior HR Manager embraces the ownership of all HR functions and is always looking to improve internal customer support, reduce HR costs, maintain legal compliance, and increase the ROI of existing plans.
HRIS & Reporting
· Administers and processes the employee life cycle changes with minimal errors.
· Ensures data accuracy with routine audit reports or as necessary to analyze data for ongoing issues.
· Spearheads implementation or upgrading of new HR system modules as needed (i.e., ADP Comprehensive platform, performance management, recruiting, onboarding, cloud storage).
· Responsible for daily maintenance and integrity of the ADP WorkforceNow system.
· Act as a first-tier help desk to answer inquiries and troubleshoot errors in the system, escalating to ADP support when necessary.
Payroll & Compensation
· Partners with Finance to process an accurate payroll on a biweekly basis.
· Responsible for entering and processing all payroll changes up to reviewing the payroll preview (making changes as needed), then sending it to Finance for their final review and processing.
· Responsible for working in tandem with division leaders and managers to create and maintain accurate ADA-compliant job descriptions.
· Produces various compensation reports including annual compensation plans, budgeting, and salary/merit bonuses.
Benefits
· Responsible for the daily benefits administration.
· Partners with the benefit brokers to aid employees with questions, claims, and information.
· Manages the leave of absence process, working with the carriers and our benefit brokers to ensure accuracy and compliance.
· Coordinates with the brokers to ensure successful Open Enrollment and other wellness events.
· Works with leadership and brokers to craft annual benefit packages.
· Takes ownership of benefits reconciliation by regular auditing of monthly benefit invoices, EDI integration, and troubleshooting errors.
Legal Compliance
· Maintains a current in-depth knowledge of legal requirements and recommends best practices to reduce legal risks and ensure regulatory compliance.
· Coordinates with the HR team to maintain records, reports, logs, and filings that comply with regulatory requirements.
Talent Management
· Provides day-to-day performance management and HR policy guidance to frontline managers.
· Investigates, documents, and provides counsel and support to managers in resolving employee relations and disciplinary issues when needed. Escalating to the VP of Finance when necessary.
· Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, and terminations, and conducts exit interviews.
· Coordinates the performance management process by tracking, coaching, educating, and providing feedback to managers.
· Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and nonmandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and aptitude exams and certifications.
Talent Acquisition
· Collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
· Maintains close relationships with approved trade schools, colleges, universities, recruiting agencies, and temporary agencies.
· Utilizes the HRIS to automate, compile, analyze, and make recommendations based on monthly talent acquisition data such as open positions, time to fill, turnover, attrition, etc.
· Manages the internship, co-op, and apprenticeship programs.
