Job Description

The HR Coordinator will play a key role in supporting the Human Resources department with a variety of administrative and HR-related tasks. This position requires a high level of organization, attention to detail, and the ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality. The HR Coordinator will assist with employee onboarding, benefits administration, and maintaining HR records.

Responsibilities

  • Provides a high level of customer service to all internal and external customers
  • Assists with Verification of Employment with various banking institutions
  • Assisting employees and customers by answering phone calls
  • Runs and maintain I-9s using E-Verify
  • Assists with onboarding new employees
  • Audits HR files for compliance with all State - Federal - and Internal policies
  • Assists employees with benefits enrollment or questions
  • Updates HRIS for account information
  • Facilitates background checks - MVR record checks - reference checks - etc. to determine an applicant's eligibility for employment with YAG
  • Ensures that all employees and managers receive appropriate training that clearly defines YAG's processes and ensures compliance with those processes
  • Maintains all employee-related files including Individual Personnel Files and Records of Insurance Coverage - Pension Plans - Hires - Promotions - Transfers - Terminations - and any employee-related information or documentation required by the government
  • Prepares employee separation notices and related documentation. Conducts exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations
  • Update electronic payroll records by entering adjustments on Pay - Employee Change Status - Transfers - etc.


Qualifications

  • Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school
  • One to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to read - analyze - and interpret common scientific and technical journals - financial reports - and legal documents
  • Reports to work on time and as scheduled
  • Always communicates with internal and external customers in a respectful and courteous manner
  • Maintains professional appearance
  • Understands and complies with Federal - State - and Local employment and employee relations laws
