Össur Americas is Hiring a Talent acquisition specialist Near Irvine, CA

This position plays a critical role in ensuring we are hiring the best possible talent. Primary objectives are to execute recruiting plans, network through industry contacts, association memberships, trade groups and employees, and coordinate and implement college recruiting initiatives.

  • Execute Recruiting Plans
  • Work with hiring managers on recruiting planning meetings.
  • In conjunction with managers develop job descriptions.
  • Lead the creation of a recruiting and interviewing plan for each open position.
  • Efficiently and effectively fill open positions.
  • Conduct regular follow-up with managers to determine the effectiveness of recruiting plans and implementation.
  • Develop a pool of qualified candidates in advance of need.
  • Research and recommend new sources for active and passive candidate recruiting.
  • Build networks to find qualified passive candidates.
  • Post openings in newspaper advertisements, with professional organizations, and in other position appropriate venues.
  • Utilize the Internet for recruitment.

Network Through Industry Contacts, Association Memberships, Trade Groups and Employees :

  • Locate and document where to find ideal candidates.
  • Establish a recognizable employer of choice reputation for the company, both internally and externally.
  • Communicate with managers and employees regularly to establish rapport, gauge morale, and source new candidate leads.
  • Create contacts within industry.
  • Attend local professional meetings and membership development meetings.
  • Maintain regular contact with possible future candidates.

Administrative Duties and Record Keeping :

  • Review applicants to evaluate if they meet the position requirements.
  • Conduct prescreening interviews.
  • Maintain all pertinent applicant and interview data in HR system.
  • Conduct reference checks for potential employees.
  • New hire orientation and other duties as assigned
  • Send rejection letters.
  • Prepare offer packages.
  • Assist in preparing and sending new employee orientation packages.
  • Adhere to Company’s safety rules
  • Adhere to Company Values Honesty Frugality - Courage
  • Perform other duties as requested

Qualifications :

  • BS in Human Resources with 2 years experience in staffing
  • Ability to self-motivate and work independently
  • Excellent written / oral communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Computer proficiency with MS Office and internet search engines
  • HRIS experience preferred

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $51,626 - $75,394 bonus benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.

The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
