Title: Accounts Payable Specialist

Job Summary

Nassau Provisions Kosher Foods Inc. is seeking an Accounts Payable Associate. We are looking for a dynamic, self-motivated professional who will be performing accounting and clerical duties related to the efficient maintenance and processing of accounts payable transactions.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Review, verify, code and approve all invoices and check requests
• 3 Way Matching - invoices, purchase orders and receiving reports prior to processing.
• Process payments on time, taking all available discounts.
• Perform accounts payable data entry duties.
• Maintain organized accounts payable records, and file records in a timely manner.
• Research & resolve invoice discrepancies and issues.
• Matches invoices to checks prior to signing and ensure each check is supported with appropriate supporting documents and approvals.
• Address vendor inquiries and resolve disputes.
• Perform special accounting and finance projects as needed.
• Providing support to our Client Services team.

Required

• Knowledge of accounts payable and general accounting procedures
• General Ledger distribution experience a plus
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Knowledge of Excel- using functions.
• Proficient in data entry and management

1-3 years accounts payable or general accounting experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
