Main Purpose of Job
This position is responsible for the implementation of all components of the Kids Like Us program. Duties include, use of independent judgement and analysis in collaboration with public school counselors and program implementation with fidelity, including school-based and community-based supportive counseling groups for youth ages 8 to 18, program evaluation, annual art show implementation, training, and community outreach.
This position will use appropriate judgement in applying program policies and practice standards in planning and implementing KLU school-based programs in assigned public schools to ensure fidelity.
Analyze program implementation and develop solutions collaboratively with Frederick County Public School group co-facilitator to ensure program effectiveness and beneficial participant experience.
Plan and implement summer day camp programming, training, the annual art show of participant artwork, and the public art reception.
Assess and address individual needs of participants, debrief with school counselors, provide referral to other resources, and follow-up to insure linkage.
Other duties include documenting implementation using fidelity checklists and adherence ratings forms in a timely manner according to program standards;
administering evaluation surveys, reviews, and entering data, conducting community outreach to educate community partners and potential sources of referrals about Kids Like Us.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education : Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.
Experience : One year of administrative staff or professional work.
Notes :
1. Candidates may substitute 30 college credit hours from an accredited college or university for the required experience.
2. Candidates may substitute Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer involving staff work that included regular use of independent judgment and analysis in applying and interpreting complex administrative plans, policies, rules or regulations or analysis of operational programs or procedures with recommendations for improvement on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.

Employees in this classification may be assigned duties which require the operation of a motor vehicle. Employees assigned such duties will be required to possess a motor vehicle operator’s license valid in the State of Maryland.
