Theradaptive, a pioneering biotech company specializing in regenerative medicine, seeks a motivated Research Associate to join our Analytical Development team. The successful candidate will be instrumental in supporting the development, troubleshooting, and execution of assays utilizing chromatography, electrophoresis, and immunoassay techniques. This role will contribute significantly to the characterization and quality assessment of Biologic Drug Substances and Drug Product/Medical Devices.

RESPONSIBILIES:

  • Assist in the development and optimization of analytical methods using Chromatography (SEC, IEC, RPLC) and/or electrophoresis (cIEF, CE-SDS) techniques for the release and characterization of biologics and drug product/medical devices.
  • Participate in laboratory experiments, including sample testing and characterization of biologics using HPLC, cIEF, CE-SDS, and/or immunoassay and cell-based assays.
  • Support the authoring and review of method development reports, method qualification study protocols, and qualification study reports.
  • Perform sample testing, analyze data, interpret results, and contribute to the preparation of reports in various formats, including Electronic Laboratory Notebooks (ELN), formal reports, and presentations.
  • Assist in the creation and review of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for test method procedures and laboratory equipment operation and maintenance.
  • Ensure proper qualification, calibration, and maintenance of laboratory equipment in accordance with established schedules.
  • Adhere to cGMP requirements as necessary and uphold compliance with standard operating procedures to maintain quality standards.
  • Collaborate effectively within a team environment, demonstrate attention to detail, and communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Undertake any additional duties and responsibilities as needed to support the objectives of the laboratory.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Analysis, Biotechnology, or Analytical Chemistry.
  • Bachelor's degree with at least 2 years or Master's degree with at least 1 year of industry laboratory experience.
  • Hands-on experience with Chromatography (SEC, IEC, RPLC) and/or electrophoresis (cIEF, CE-SDS) techniques.
  • Strong multitasking abilities, effective time management skills, and excellent organizational capabilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, with meticulous attention to detail.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Ability to work in a laboratory and office setting.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Ability to work in a laboratory with chemicals and biochemicals and perform Biosafety Level 2 work
