Cupcakin’ Bake Shop is an Artisan style bake shop in Berkeley, CA with a focus on making the absolute best cupcakes and cakes from scratch using fresh, high-quality, local, and sustainable ingredients. We are committed to baking fresh daily with special care and attention to the quality, taste, and presentation of our baked goods. Qualifications Include

• Self-starter who can work well independently or as a team Passion for pastry.
• Previous cake decorating experience in a professional kitchen is a plus.
• Must be familiar with cake baking.
• Must possess current Serv Safe certification upon hire.
• Must be available to work weekday and weekend shifts.
• Be able to lift 50 lb heavy items.
• Be organized, clean, and honest.

Requirements

• Experience in cake or pastry decorating.
• Experience with buttercream, whipped cream, and Swiss Meringue Cakes/piping is required.
• Highly creative and detail-oriented.
• Knowledge of the latest trends and techniques in cake decorating.
• Punctual and reliable.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
• Must be able to work early mornings and weekends. (4:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.)
• Friendly and team-oriented.

Qualifications

• One year of previous culinary experience pastry/baking experience is strongly preferred.
• Ability to work in cross-functional roles as needed.
• You should have reliable transportation.

Certifications

• ServSafe Manager Food Handler Certification.
