Clark Logic is Hiring a Human Resources Director Near Portage, MI

The Director of Human Resources will lead and direct all functions of the HR department including employee relations, recruitment, performance management, compliance, recordkeeping, compensation and benefits administration. This position is responsible for demonstrating integrity and maintaining a high level of confidentiality.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Implements and manages all recruiting and hiring practices and procedures necessary to meet staffing goals and objectives.
  • Working with the leadership team to understand and execute the organization’s human resource strategy, particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning.
  • Monitors and advises managers and supervisors on the progressive discipline process and performance improvement process as well as reviews, investigations, and terminations.
  • Oversees and manages all benefit programs and enrollment changes for the organization.
  • Establishes and monitors all wage and salary structures, pay policies, and oversees the variable pay systems within the company including bonuses and raises.
  • Leads company compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance as well as manages the preparation and submittal of information requested for compliance.
  • Assist in management of worker’s compensation and safety compliance program. Tracks and monitors employee leave of absences, modified duty, and return to work programs.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • 3 years of experience in one or more aspects of human resources management preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field; or equivalent, relevant experience required.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills are essential.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace is required.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
