Accounts Payable Specialist
Department: Accounting Job Status: Full - Time
FLSA Status: Exempt Reports To: Accounts Payable Supervisor
Positions Supervised: None Amount of Travel Required: None
Work Schedule: Monday through Friday 8 am to 5 pm
POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for daily functions of Accounts Payable
Position Tasks:
- Monitor incoming invoices from vendors via email and postal mail.
- Apply receiving against invoices.
- Enter vendor invoices into NetSuite.
- Process expense reports.
- Reconcile Vendor Statements.
- Back up AP Supervisor on Check Printing and prepare wire approval sheets.
- Documents actions, completing forms where required.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing and communicating related results.
- Must maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.
- Safely and successfully perform essential job functions while meeting quality and productivity standards.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications:
- Effectively communicate using verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be able to maintain focus on repetitive tasks while completing assemblies with a high level of quality.
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Ability to work independently and carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
- Must be able to maintain accurate track work progress.
- Bachelor's in accounting preferred.
- One to two years of accounts payable experience is required.
- NetSuite experience preferred.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to, stand, sit; talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements due to computer work.
- Light to moderate lifting is required.
- Regular, predictable attendance is required; including overtime hours as business demands dictate.
- Ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period.
