What does the job entail?

  1. Benefits Administration:
  • Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, wellness programs, and other voluntary benefits.
  • Facilitate new hire benefit orientation and educate employees on available benefits.
  • Process benefit-related transactions, such as enrollments, changes, and terminations, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Collaborate with benefit providers to resolve claims, billing issues, and other benefits-related concerns.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and legal requirements related to employee benefits.
  1. Payroll:
  • Oversee payroll administration, ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll in compliance with legal and internal policies.
  • Collaborate with the finance department to reconcile payroll-related accounts, deductions, and tax filings.
  • Respond to payroll inquiries from employees, addressing concerns, resolving discrepancies, and providing guidance on payroll-related matters.
  • Administer and monitor time and attendance systems, ensuring accurate tracking of employee work hours and leave balances.
  • Stay informed about payroll-related laws and regulations, including tax codes and wage laws.
  1. Immigration:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for immigration-related matters, acting as a liaison between employees, legal counsel, and government agencies.
  • Stay updated on immigration laws, regulations, and policies, ensuring compliance and advising the organization accordingly.
  • Facilitate the immigration process for employees, including visa applications, work permits, and permanent residency.
  • Maintain accurate immigration records, track expiration dates, and initiate timely renewals as required.
  • Communicate changes in immigration policies to relevant stakeholders and provide guidance on their impact.
  1. Employee Relations:
  • Provide guidance, support, and consultation to employees and managers on HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Address employee concerns, grievances, and complaints, conducting investigations when necessary and recommending appropriate actions.
  • Mediate and resolve conflicts between employees, fostering a positive work environment and promoting effective communication.
  • Develop and implement employee relations programs, initiatives, and training to enhance employee engagement and morale.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws, regulations, and internal policies, mitigating legal risks and maintaining a fair and inclusive workplace.
  1. Compliance:
  • Stay current with federal, state, and local labor laws, regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Develop and update HR policies, procedures, and employee handbooks to ensure compliance with applicable laws.
  • Conduct periodic audits and reviews to assess compliance with HR policies, employment contracts, and regulatory requirements.
  • Partner with legal counsel to address legal issues and provide recommendations to mitigate risks.
  • Deliver compliance training to employees and managers to promote understanding and adherence to relevant policies and regulations.
