Zeel is looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer - a highly motivated individual experienced in web, mobile, API, and data validation techniques to join the Quality Assurance Engineering team at this growing medtech company. The position requires a mix of manual and automated testing, so skills in both are desired. This person must be able to adapt to a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and assignments. The Quality Assurance Engineer is responsible for testing work with their embedded team, assisting with production support issues and bugs, and coordinating with other team members. This position can be fully remote. The Quality Assurance Engineer will report to the QA Manager and coordinate daily with various departments and teams.

• Is familiar with web, mobile, and API testing in a microservice and cloud infrastructure environment.
• Has experience with all facets of software testing including functional, regression, unit, security, load, and performance testing.
• Has experience with test automation in Java and Selenium/Appium for web and mobile applications.
• Has a solid understanding of software engineering best practices.
• Is a team player who wants to partner and work with all parts of the business.
• Has experience with agile (Scrum, Kanban, etc.) software development.
• Is eager to learn whatever necessary to tackle problems head-on.
• Problem solver who is always looking for ways to improve our systems, processes, and tools.

What you'll be doing here:

• Thoroughly test and maintain Zeel internal and public-facing web applications, iOS and Android mobile apps, and back-end services.
• Contribute to test automation frameworks and tests.
• Collaborate with other members of the QA and Engineering team, and the broader organization, for testing efforts.
• Work with operations and development teams to understand pain points and develop ways testing can help.
• Learn and share knowledge across our engineering teams. 
• Document defects and bugs thoroughly in reporting tools such as Jira.
• Perform manual functional and regression testing as needed.

Other requirements:

• 3 years in a QA position testing some of the following: direct API testing, browser based testing, and mobile application testing.
• Hands-on experience coding test automation in Java.
• Experience with testing libraries and frameworks such as Selenium, Appium, REST Assured or other frameworks.
• Proven strong enterprise testing skills
• Experience working with cloud technologies such as AWS

Nice to have:

• Prior experience with HIPAA/GDPR/PCI or similar security practices.
• Experience with cross-device testing solutions such BrowserStack or SauceLabs.
• Experience working with cloud technologies such as AWS.
• Experience with Relational Database Systems (MySQL, PostgreSQL)
