Youth Shelters Family Services is Hiring a Program Manager- Rapid Rehousing Program Near Santa Fe, NM

Are you passionate about empowering youth and creating positive change in their lives?

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Rapid Rehousing Program Manager to join our passionate team. In this role, you will lead and oversee our youth-focused rapid rehousing initiatives, ensuring that our young clients receive the support and resources needed to transition from homelessness to stable housing.

What would my job responsibilities be?

  • Develop and implement program strategies and objectives in alignment with organizational goals
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the program, ensuring smooth functioning and adherence to established policies and procedures
  • Monitor program budgets and financial resources, making adjustments as necessary to ensure fiscal responsibility
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify program needs and develop appropriate interventions and services
  • Supervise program staff, providing guidance, support, and performance evaluations
  • Evaluate program outcomes and effectiveness, making recommendations for improvement as needed
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards in the behavioral health field
  • Foster positive relationships with community partners and stakeholders to enhance program visibility and collaboration
  • Customarily and regularly exercise discretion and independent judgment, assume responsibility and work under minimum supervision.
  • Oversee the development of a housing procurement, financial, and self-sufficiency case management plan with clients. This shall include intake interviews to determine client's needs, goals, and eligibility. This includes providing discharge and after-care planning and implementation for the assigned case load.
  • Ensure pro-active follow-up home visits are taking place, to ensure stability and further progress towards self-sufficiency; this includes support, advocacy, reducing isolation, listening, problem solving, and identification of resources to assist with reintegration of participants in the community.
  • Maintain dynamic interaction with the YHDP Program Director and Executive Director concerning legal issues and program functioning.
  • Facilitate regular and frequent outreach to local landlords, with the intention of building a robust base of local landlords able and willing to participate (in a flexible manner when needed) in renting to YHDP Clients; similarly, build relationships with City, County, and other local officials who have capacity to help provide positive impact on the STAR YHDP program.
  • Responsible for accurate reporting, file management, and all data and documentation management for the program location, including providing narrative reports as needed.
  • Work closely with Street Outreach Program Director, STAR Program Director and Executive Director to create robust outreach plan for local youth to ensure that any eligible youth in the community are made aware of the STAR program and how to apply, should they choose.
  • Overseeing the upkeep and maintenance of office spaces and program vehicles to ensure program spaces are presentable, clean, and comfortable for client participants. Ensure the successful delivery of Rapid Rehousing Program operations, including case load management, client facilitation and interaction.
  • Assist participants in development of a strength-based/solution-focused individualized goal and action plan that promotes permanent housing and self-sufficiency; develop an effective, timely referral network in order to ensure ongoing direction and support as needed.
  • Assist participants in locating and securing housing of their choice. Transport clients as deemed necessary. Transportation requirements should be limited to housing and job searches and occasional visits to relevant social service agencies.

What are the qualifications and experience I need to become a Program Manager?

  • Strong leadership abilities with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively convey complex information to diverse audiences
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Analytical thinking with the ability to problem-solve and make data-driven decisions
  • Knowledge of budgeting principles and experience managing program finances
  • Experience with homeless and at-risk youth, preferred.
  • Case management experience required.

What are the minimum education requirements?

  • Master’s Degree in counseling, social work, psychology, or related field preferred.
  • OR bachelor’s degree in human services preferred
  • OR a two-year degree in Human related services and at least one-year related experience
  • OR a high school diploma or GED and at least two years related experience.

What are the scheduled shift you are looking to fill?

  • Monday through Friday - 8AM - 5PM
