TITLE: Program Aide
REPORTS TO: Unit Director
CLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
The Program Aide assists with planning, implementing, supervising members and evaluating activities provided within a specific program area, supporting our priority outcome areas of Academic Success, Healthy Lifestyles, Good Character and Citizenship.
KEY ROLES (Essential Job Responsibilities):
Prepare Youth for Success
A. Promote and stimulate program participation.
B. Register new members and participate in their club orientation process.
C. Provide guidance and role modeling to members.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE:
1. Must be 18 years of age or older.
2. Preferred experience teaching children and youth development including planning and implementing quality programs for youth.
3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work with the general public.
4. Experience required in motivating youth and managing behavioral problems.
5. Must be able to organize and supervise children to maintain a safe environment.
6. Must be CPR and First Aid certified or willing to become certified.
7. Must be able to stand for 4 hours at a time.
8. Must be able to read & speak English, bilingual in Spanish preferred.
