Youth Consultation Service is Hiring an Administrative Assistant (490-1093) Near Montclair, NJ

Youth Consultation Service (YCS) is a behavioral health and social service agency providing services including educational services to at risk children. Sawtelle Learning Center provides highly specialized services to students with autism spectrum disorder.

Sawtelle Learning Center is currently seeking a highly organized, detail oriented administrative assistant to provide administrative and clerical support to the administrative staff in the functioning of the school.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Answering phones and greeting visitors
  • Scheduling appointments and maintaining calendar including students’ Annual Reviews
  • Creating and maintaining filing systems for students and staff- both electronically and physically
  • Managing accounts and perform bookkeeping
  • Maintaining Department of Education required documentation
  • Completing agency and Department of Education reports
  • Maintaining petty cash accounts
  • Compiling information and preparing spreadsheets for various reports to assist the principal/supervisor with external and internal audits
  • Preparing, proofing, copying, distributing students’ IEPs and progress reports

Qualifications:

  • Highly organized, detailed oriented, excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Computer skills including MS Outlook 365, Excel, Power Point, Share Point
  • Fluent in Spanish both spoken and written
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent; some college preferred
  • Prior successful work in reception/admin or other related field
