The Northeast Texas Region is prayerfully seeking a high-capacity, mission-driven leader to serve in a new role as a Metro Director in Dallas, TX. This role would oversee multiple ministries and staff in a portion of one of the nation’s fastest growing metropolitan areas. With ministry since 1941, the roots of Young Life are deep in this city. The right candidate for this calling will be deeply committed to and have a passion for kids. They will both value the legacy of ministry and have a creative, galvanizing passion for new ministry frontiers. The right candidate will be committed to Biblical truth, have a heart for kids in truly diverse communities, and have demonstrated experience in adult work.

Responsibilities:

• Demonstrate spiritual leadership on a personal level, area level, and beyond.
• Supervise, support and develop multiple staff and volunteer leaders.
• Recruit, develop and sustain teams including staff, student leaders, adult volunteers and committee.
• Develop and execute an large scale vision and strategic plan.
• Work in partnership with the committee on the financial development of the area.
• Participate in dynamic direct ministry with kids (contact work).
• Participation and leadership in annual staff events and training.
• Committee recruitment/training/leading and maintaining relationships and roles.
• Serve as leader among staff in Northeast Texas Region.

Qualifications:

• Gifted at build teams and creating missional community.
• Experience with shepherding volunteer leaders.
• Spiritual maturity and a growing faith.
• Successful track record in working with adolescents and sharing the Gospel.
• Strong leadership skills and experience in developing people.
• Strong initiative and vision.
• Experience in raising money and managing a budget.
• Ability to cultivate relationships with adults in the community.
• Spanish-speaking a plus.
• Prior Young Life experience preferred.
