Position Summary:
Yeshiva University's Office of Human Resources seeks a HRIS Analyst to join its collaborative and service-focused team. This is a wonderful opportunity to grow and build technical and analytical skills while gaining broad exposure to all areas of Human Resources.
The HRIS Analyst will collect, compile, and analyze HR data, metrics, and statistics, assisting the team in applying this data to make recommendations related to recruitment, retention, and legal compliance. This position has a hybrid work arrangement.
Position Responsibilities:
  • Collect and compile HR metrics and data from a variety of sources including the human resource information system (HRIS) and payroll outputs, management and employee surveys, exit interviews, employment records, government labor statistics, competitors' practices, and other sources.
  • Prepare reports of data results.
  • Compensation support:
    • Analyzing job responsibilities and requirements within position descriptions
    • Analyzing and interpreting the company's remuneration programs.
    • Contributing company data to compensation & benchmarking surveys.
  • Analyzing results of compensation surveys & benchmarking.
  • Support HRIS, Recruitment, Benefits teams.
  • Support and partner with teams across the University.
  • Verify data quality to ensure accurate analysis and reporting.
  • Help identify the business data needed to produce the most useful insights and future analytics.
  • Utilize data to make actionable recommendations.
  • Monitor data management processes to ensure data quality and consistency.
  • Contribute to data dictionary (pending Data Governance completion), standards, training, and ongoing updates.
  • Review accuracy and process monthly benefits vendor invoices.
  • Assist with benefits Open Enrollment testing and respond to Open Enrollment questions.
  • Provide ad hoc reporting to ensure data captured is accurate.
  • May conduct or assist with conducting classification audits to ensure that jobs are properly classified as exempt or nonexempt.
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and best practices.
  • Analyze data and statistics for trends and patterns with attention to recruitment, hiring practices, motivation, turnover, and compliance with employment laws and regulations.
  • May assist with benefit, and compensation review.
  • May assist with recruitment efforts to verify onboarding documentation.
  • May assist with HRIS quality assurance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Experience & Education Background:
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • At least 2 years of experience in related areas such as job classification and compensation, recruitment, selection, training, employee benefits, and/or equal opportunity compliance preferred.
Skills & Competencies:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn the organization's HRIS, payroll, and similar employee management software.
  • Ability to communicate insights and recommendations effectively to the HR Team.
Salary Range:
$63,000-$73,000
