Yamaha has an excellent opportunity for an Product Planning Manager to join our Motorsports Team in Marietta, GA. The primary role is to work with the ATV/SxS and Accessory product line managers to develop industry leading products that support the overall business direction. This will involves directing a team of planners in collecting customer information, analyzing future trends and competitive analysis in order to develop a product plan strategy for both units and accessory. Working closely with Engineering & Testing to develop the product as well as Sales & Marketing to develop Volume, Pricing and Marketing Communication Plans.

What you'll be doing:

• Work with Product Line Managers to understand the total business direction for ATV/SxS products and communicating it effectively to all product planning staff, YMC Factories, YMMC Factories, Accessory Development, Testing and all development teams.
• Lead the product planning team as internal resource for all market information and new product information for PR, advertising, marketing, technical, service, and sales
• Oversee the development of all new model marketing concept sheets, target customer, target market, usage, function, styling, pricing, volume, profitability and any related materials needed to develop products that exceed customers' expectations.
• Assist in providing any research or customer data to develop both mid and long-term planning.
• Oversee QFD development and communication with the testing teams to achieve project targets set inside the MTP.
• Keeping schedules of all ongoing project status, updates, challenges and communicating effectively and clearly to all executive managers.
• Assist business planning in developing business strategies, operational changes and processes to maximize overall profitability

What you need to be successful:

• Minimum BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience
• 10 years experience in development/engineering/sales/planning/service
• Must be highly proficient in project management with the ability to manage multiple projects
• Strong Experience in conducting and analyzing research
• Responsible for the leadership and development of team members
• Management of large annual expense budget to achieve the above goals
• Must have a strong interest in the ATV/SxS culture
• Motorsports / Automotive industry experience preferred
• Must be flexible in work hours, as well as traveling over weekends (including overseas) up to 50% at peak times.
• Statistical software experience is a plus. (SPSS, M-tab, Tableau, Qualtrics)
