This internship will prove to be an incredible experience for anyone going into the sales, marketing, business, communications or human resource fields. It will also be a fantastic resume booster, as you will be working with an executive from a Fortune 50 company.Internships are awarded in 2-3 month increments and have the potential to be renewed.GOALS OF INTERNSHIP: We will be hosting a human resources conference in September and will have our interns focus on:executing tasks on the event project planreaching out to ideal attendees to inform them about the conferencereaching out to marketing/publicity partners to seek co-promotion of our eventsbuilding our email/contact lists in a variety of target marketsupdate our social media channels, as appropriate INTERN DUTIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: Create a strategic plan for your 3 month assignmentComplete a weekly report on progress on assignments and report out during staff meetingsUse social media, PR, and marketing, as deemed appropriateAssist with corporate event planning dutiesPre-define metrics for success of your strategic plan and analyze results at the end of assignmentAssists with other needs, as assigned.QualificationsINTERNSHIP QUALIFICATIONS: Preference will be given to interns who are interested in careers in marketing, sales, business, public relations, social media, human resources, training/development, or event planningMUST NOT be fearful of cold-calling new clients and making introductions!Be eager to learn sales, marketing, planning, and communication skillsBe able to intern a minimum of 10 hours a week between the hours of 9A to 7P M-F; we will work around your schedule.Should have a working knowledge of Facebook, LinkedIn, and/or TwitterExcellent verbal and written communication skills.Self-motivated, with a solid independent work ethicMust have a go-getter attitude and a willingness to do what it takes to get the job doneMust like selling and relationship buildingMust have own phone and computerMust have working knowledge of Microsoft OfficeMust be able to attend a 30 minute staff meeting once a weekInterns are expected to act professionally at all times.
