Yamaha Motor is Hiring a Field Service Manager Near Marietta, GA

Yamaha has an excellent opportunity for Field Service Manager to join our Motorsports team in Marietta, GA. The Field Service Manager will conduct the duties of Field Service Adviser as well as oversee the FSA's. They will provide training, reporting, evaluations, managing budget as well as coordinating in-field travel.

What you'll be doing:

  • Facilitate resolution of product or services issues by analyzing concerns, identifying root causes, and implementing effective solutions. Demonstrate agility in expediting corrections or adjustments and maintains diligent follow-up to ensure satisfactory resolution.
  • Oversee the training, supervision, and task delegation of personnel to deliver comprehensive dealer technical diagnostic support across various channels including field visits, phone consultations, email correspondence, and utilization of dealer portals. This support spans all facets of Motorsports, encompassing Motorcycle and RV products as well as diagnostic tools.
  • Collaborate effectively with Yamaha personnel across service, parts, sales, and other divisions to gather pertinent information essential for making impartial and fair-minded decisions.
  • Supervise the meticulous upkeep of customer records and ensures the accurate and timely updating of account information.
  • Provide comprehensive support to the factory by furnishing detailed insights on product-related issues through market reports. This includes the provision of technical diagrams, coordination of parts collection, and compilation of valuable customer feedback.
  • Conduct regular assessments to ensure the precise adjudication of warranty authorizations and goodwill claims.
  • Execute diverse special assignments, including but not limited to warehouse projects, training sessions on best practices for both new and established dealer service departments, YTA Training, initiatives aimed at enhancing service department branding, and provision of technical support during designated Customer Demo, Dealer, and Corporate Events.

What you'll need to be successful:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 7 years of experience as a powersports technician, with formal powersports service training
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong written and oral skills, with a focus on detail and accuracy
  • Analytical, problem solving and multi-tasking skills
  • Advanced Proficiency in MS Office (i.e., Excel, Word and Power Point)
  • Ability to travel in market a must
