Woods Machinery is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our team. The primary role of the BDR is to identify and cultivate new business opportunities, drive revenue growth, and contribute to the overall success of the company. As a key member of the sales team, the BDR will be responsible for prospecting, lead generation, and qualifying potential clients.

Key Responsibilities:

Prospecting and Lead Generation:

  • Research and identify potential clients through various channels, including online research, industry events, networking, and referrals.
  • Conduct cold calls in the field, outbound calls, emails, and other forms of communication to engage with prospects and generate interest in our portfolio of products.
  • Qualify leads and identify decision-makers within target organizations.
  • Collaborate with marketing to develop and execute lead generation campaigns.

Sales Pipeline Development:

  • Build and manage a pipeline of qualified leads and opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all prospecting activities and customer interactions within the business CRM system.
  • Follow up on leads and nurture relationships to move prospects through the sales funnel.
  • Schedule meetings and demos with qualified prospects.

Relationship Building:

  • Establish rapport and build strong relationships with potential clients.
  • Understand their business needs, challenges, and goals to position our products effectively.
  • Conduct initial discovery calls to gather information and assess client requirements.
  • Develop tailored solutions and proposals.

Marketing Research and Analysis:

  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities.
  • Conduct market research to identify new market segments and opportunities for business growth.
  • Provide feedback to the management team based on customer insights and market feedback.

Collaboration and Reporting:

  • Collaborate with the sales, marketing, and product support teams to ensure a seamless customer journey.
  • Provide regular reports and updates on sales activities, pipeline status, and revenue forecasts.
  • Participate in team meetings, sales training, and professional development activities.

Requirements:

  • Preference given to candidates with proven outside business to business sales experience.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Detail oriented and organized.
  • Excellent prospecting and cold-calling skills.
  • Familiarity with equipment dealership operations is a plus.
  • Proficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to work in a team or independently
  • Successful completion of a background check and drug screening.
