Our company is seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as an Account Payable Specialist. 

Key Responsibilities

• Review, process, and maintain vendor invoices and bill payments
• Maintain vendor records and keep accounts payable vendor files current
• Field questions company-wide for accounts payable
• Resolve accounts payable inquiries/issues with vendors and internal contacts
• Maintain good organizational image and supplier relations
• Handle year-end processing of 1099’s and ensure that all IRS filing deadlines are met
• Process employee expense reimbursements and ensure compliance with policies and procedures
• Gather W9 to enter new or updated vendor names and data into the accounting system
• Review Credit card statements – enter purchases and reconcile amounts to pay bills
• Perform special projects as assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor in Accounting or a related field
• A minimum of 2 years of Accounts Payable experience.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel i.e. Pivot tables and V lookups are a must.
• Knowledge of accounting software packages, including QuickBooks
• Strong communication skills, diligent, and detail-oriented
• Self-starter and ability to work independently without close supervision
• Strong organizational skills. Ability to prioritize, organize, and plan work under own initiative
• Flexible and adaptable to a growth-company environment
• Telecom industry experience is a plus
