The Hilton Bellevue is currently seeking an energetic, driven, team player to join our Kitchen team. Assist in overseeing all kitchen operations in support of our banquet functions and Solarium Kitchen Bar restaurant. Deliver exceptional food in taste and quality, while contributing to an environment where employees learn and grow.

Duties Include:

• Assists with training, assigning duties and supervision of the kitchen staff during the preparation, cooking and garnishment of food items.
• Ensure proper receiving, storage (including temperature-setting) and rotation of food products so as to comply with Health Department regulations.
• Adheres to control procedures for cost and quality.
• Assists in menu planning activities.
• Assists in scheduling culinary staff so that proper coverage is maintained while keeping payroll costs in line.
• Reports any equipment in need of repair to chef and engineering, for service.
• Performs other duties as requested, such as V.I.P. parties and staff meetings.

Qualifications Include:

• Previous professional cooking experience, at least 4 years preferred
• Previous Banquet cook or large-party experience, 4 years preferred
• Current Food Handler's permit, of the ability to obtain one within 14 days of hire
• The ability to work a varied and flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• The ability to effectively communicate with staff and guests in English, both written and orally
• Basic understanding and ability to use Microsoft Outlook/email
