We are seeking a HR Supervisor for our facility located on Santa Ana, CA.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:
  • Supervise staff to ensure assignments are completed appropriately and timely.
  • Develops consistent and standard procedures to process employment, attendance, and other records and to ensure accuracy.
  • Oversee full cycle recruiting and exits. Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
  • Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
  • Oversee performance review program to ensure effectiveness, compliance, and equity within.
  • Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Involvement with management training in interviewing, hiring, terminations, promotions, performance review, safety, and sexual harassment.
  • Involvement with workplace safety programs.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Organizes and conducts orientation sessions for new and transferred employees.
  • Through collaboration with management, identifies anticipated training needs based on human resource initiatives, legal and regulatory changes, career development needs, and other factors.
  • Coordinates or performs compliance training and personal development classes for staff members.
  • Advises management in appropriate resolution of employee relations issues.
  • Prepares employee separation notices and related documentation, and conducts exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations.
EDUCATION:
High School Diploma required. Bachelor's degree in human resources management or a related field. Directly related work experience may be substituted for the formal education requirement on a year-for-year basis. HR Certification a plus.
EXPERIENCE:
  • Proven recent and related experience and/or training in Human Resources and working with people.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
  • Good Customer Service Skills
  • Aptitude in problem-solving
  • Desire to work as a team with a result driven approach.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents.
  • Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints.
  • Thorough understanding of labor and employment laws related to training and development.
  • Strong planning and organizing skills, with attention to detail and accuracy, effective oral and written communication skills, and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of labor law and HR best practices.
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Knowledge of HR systems and databases.
PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL ELEMENTS :
While performing the duties of this job, the employee generally works indoors within the office and manufacturing areas. The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate or loud. Also, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or to hear. The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
This role is subject to compliance with the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), which requires the incumbent to be either a US citizen, lawful permanent resident ["green card" holders] or have refugee or asylee status.
**Please note that the salary range information is only applicable for California. The pay range represents the low and high end of the salary range we reasonably expect to pay for this position at the time of posting. An employee's pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, geographic location, experience, education, skills, qualifications, performance, and business or organizational needs.
Pay Range: $80,000 to $95,000 annually.
