White Oak Peds is a well-established, independent, physician-owned group with a single location near UNC Rex Hospital. We are seeking a professional, organized, team-oriented individual to fill this role.

Position Summary

The Practice Administrator is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the non-clinical day-to-day operations of the office to include supervising the front desk staff, ensuring that the facility is in good repair, supplies are in sufficient supply, and office policies and procedures are executed in accordance with the practice’s Mission Statement.

Essential Functions

• Oversee direct day-to-day operations, including addressing of patient concerns, staff meetings, and liaison with both external vendors and our affiliated accountable care organizations.
• Interview, hire and train new staff in collaboration with our nurse manager, maintain personnel files, develop job descriptions and office policies, resolve conflicts, and work to establish a culture of collegiality and teamwork among the office staff
• Collaborate with accountants and other financial professionals and administer payroll
• Coordinate with appropriate professionals, to ensure that applicable federal and state laws and regulations are followed, maintain current business licenses, and ensure that licensed clinical staff maintain all necessary licensures and certifications.

Qualifications

• B.A in Business Administration, Master’s Degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration preferred but not required
• Working knowledge of medical terminology, relevant industry regulatory policies and laws
• Experience in medical office billing and coding
• Excellent interpersonal skills including clear, concise, and compassionate written and oral communication skills with an ability to relate well to a wide variety of individuals
• Self-starter with results-oriented personality

A future practice manager would work 4 days/32 hours, times can be flexible within business hours. Rarely do the doctors text or call outside of regular business hours. The office needs someone sharp and consistent to continue improvements with billing and quality measures. Could be a good fit for an experienced office manager looking for a step up or a current practice manager seeking a less demanding role.
