This position is responsible for researching, evaluating, installing and maintaining IT Infrastructure, enterprise applications and telecommunications systems. Advanced knowledge of Linux operating systems is required as well as experience with networks, telecommunications systems and VMware. Must also be experienced in dealing with vendors and service providers to ensure proper delivery of the services that enable the solutions. Assisting teams by building architectures for their services and in the adoption and deployment of DevOps processes and tools. Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to managing project activities, the analysis and remediation of security issues and participation with the periodic disaster recovery technology plans.

Job Duties

• Administers and monitors Enterprise Applications as well as related infrastructure and systems required to maintain appropriate levels of performance and availability
• Administer and maintain Linux and Windows Servers running on physical and virtual environment. (VMWare & Oracle VM)
• Designs, develops, installs and tests application upgrades, patches and enhancements
• Takes ownership of system problems by leveraging in-house tools, vendors and support organizations while communicating and coordinating with company staff
• Creates system documentation, including system configurations, operational procedures and training materials
• Participates in capacity, performance and availability planning for system configuration, software services, network services, load distribution, and service interrelationships among systems and services
• Builds, installs, configures, analyzes, tunes, and troubleshoots systems to achieve optimum performance levels
• Monitors and analyzes resource usage to recommend/develop enhancements to system capabilities and performance
• Resolves difficult system problems and provides consultation or training
• Compares, evaluates, and implements new technologies, and integrates them into the cloud computing environment
• Maintains up-to-date knowledge of technology advancements and trends
• Investigate and trouble shoot production technical incidents. Work with Vendors and multiple Business, Development and Quality Insurance. Conduct proactive monitoring of Production System

Prerequisites for the Job

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or a combination of education and relevant experience
• 2 years of Linux system administration experience
• Experience in systems design, implementation, and analysis
