Employee will be assigned to the Division of Water and Waste Management, Office of Environmental Enforcement (EE), Water and Solid Waste section (WW). Under general supervision and at full performance level, the employee will exercise discretion and independent judgment while providing administrative and clerical support to the section program manager. Employee will create, edit, copy, distribute and file electronic and paper documents and correspondence. Employee will create, edit, maintain, file and query electronic and paper spreadsheets and databases. Will maintain control and accountability for electronic and paper inspection and enforcement documents referred to program manager for disposition. Will gather information and draft implementation and progress reports pursuant to grant funding requirements. Employee will schedule meetings, appointments and travel arrangements for program manager; coordinate and track WW response to FOIA requests; work cooperatively and share information with co-workers in formal and informal meetings and communications. Maintain confidentiality of personal and enforcement sensitive information and documents. Will schedule, coordinate and assist with planning of training events and meetings for WW staff statewide; coordinate and assist with training registration and arrangements for WW staff statewide. Employee will purchase office supplies, services and equipment in accordance with established policies; process invoices and payments in accordance with established policies; assist WW regional clerical staff with questions and protocol; properly respond to or redirect inquiries and complaints. Will answer phones on behalf of the EE administrative offices and process and sort incoming mail for distribution in EE administrative office.
Must have good written and oral communication skills. Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Minimum Qualifications
Training: Graduation from an accredited college or university. Preference may be given to candidates with a major in the area of public or business administration, accounting, industrial relations, communications or related field.
Substitution: Additional qualifying experience as described below may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for the required training.
Experience: One year of full-time or equivalent part-time paid employment in a technical or advanced clerical position providing administrative services such as accounting, budgeting, project monitoring and reporting, personnel, or procurement and property. Experience must have been at the Office Assistant 3 or Accounting Technician 3 level or higher.Substitution: Successful completion of graduate study in an accredited college or university in one of the above fields may be substituted for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.
