About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Risk Consultant as part of the Early Careers within theTalent and Performance Management Team in Human Resources.
In this role, you will:
Strategically engage with all levels of managers and key stakeholders to identify risk and control gaps, and to develop effective action plans to address gaps
Maintain records, adhere to record retention schedules
Provide direction to a cross functional team and oversee and monitor execution of action plans for risks and controls, ensuring accountable parties are completing work on schedule and with quality
Drive accountability for assigned initiatives, limit risk exposure, and create efficiencies as appropriate
Work with process and control owners and partners from business controls and other teams to rationalize and design process controls to ensure the business has the right, effective controls in place to mitigate operational risks. Ensure process control documentation is thorough and up to date
Establish control execution governance and oversight to ensure controls are executed as designed, effective and sustainable
Make decisions in highly complex and multifaceted situations requiring solid understanding of business group's functional area or products, facilitate decision making and issue resolution, and support implementation of developed solutions and plans
Identify business execution opportunities and strategies for process improvement and risk control development to ensure operational excellence and process efficiency
Demonstrate experience in communicating powerfully and succinctly to senior and executive leaders and simplifying the complex; keen ability to tell the story and gain support needed
Required Qualifications:
5 years of Business Execution, Implementation, or Strategic Planning experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
5 years experience managing risk in financial services industry
Desired Qualifications:
Experience working and influencing with a matrix environment and build effective business partnerships with all levels of team members
Experience in leading Record Management Execution
Experience in evaluating Conduct Risk, Model Risk, & Reputational Risk assessments as well as designing and leading across Talent Acquisition functions
Experience with Enterprise risk related programs, Risk Control Self- Assessment (RCSA), policy governance, third-party risk management, and compliance.
Advanced data management experience to include: analyzing data, diagnosing opportunities, and providing solutions
Global experience
Proven experience with consulting and stakeholder management including a proven record of impact and influence at the senior leadership level and ability to build positive, trusting work relationships.
Strong leader with experience in process improvement and/or designing process controls, Quality Control/Quality Assurance activities, process improvement.
Experience exercising judgment and decision making within broadly
Experience leading, managing, and implementing enterprise-wide initiatives
Experience partnering and influencing business leaders, recruiting leaders, and HR partners
HR or Talent Acquisition Risk experience
Experience in financial sector or heavily regulated environment preferred
Six sigma or project management certification
